Structure of Indian Army

  • The Indian Army is led by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS),who reports to the Defense Minister.
  • Key components of the Army's Structure:
    • Commands:Western, Eastern, Southern, Nortern, and Central Commands.
    • Regiments:Each regiment has specialized roles, such as infantry, artillery, armored corps, engineers, etc.
    • Branches:Signals, Medical, Ordnance, Education, Military Police.
